She jots down memories and people who she has spent her precious time with. People who watch her grow, people who laugh with her, people who love her just the way she is. Reflection 2014
2014 has been a crazy year. It has been a roller coaster ride, taking me way up into the clouds and giving me crazy buffaloes trampling in my stomach. It has made me seen so many different people and learn how to live, laugh and love in a totally different culture.
Being an exchange student is never easy. You come into a foreign world and everything is shiny and new. You pray and hope u have the same fun and laughter you had in your old school as you would in your new. The first few months you meet friends but nothing compares to what you had at home. You feel homesick and keep asking yourself the same question.
Why did I choose to come here in the first place?
Days, weeks and months go by. You learn and start speaking the language. You understand their jokes, the gossips, the funny comments they have about the teachers or how they spent their holidays. You make friends as you go along. Friends that are always there for you, that help you and that make your exchange year the best.
You learn to love strangers that welcomed you into their home although they hardly knew you. You stay with them, learn to live with them and they are the ones you call your family. They are like your second family in another part of the world. People who you can laugh with every evening while watching tv, people who you cook with, share funny things with. People who you never knew could mean so much to you.
Time flies and soon you realize a year is soon over. You think back and although you realize nothing was ever how you thought it would be, it turned out to be the craziest year of your life. As you pack your bag and think back on the first day when you arrived and started unpacking your clothes into the unfamiliar house you were chose to stay in, you realize everything has changed. You will miss walking home everyday after school or meeting up with friends, the people at home and the room you used to stay in.
And your question to why you chose to come here in the first place is answered.
We can never stop time yet time flies when we learn how to have fun. And the time has come for me to say goodbye to Germany. Soon I will be back where everything started. College and my studying life will go on as it is again. Then again I am not the same as I was before. I have seen and learnt things that nothing other than an exchange year can teach me.
Everyone I know has given me so many memories, which will never be forgotten. If anyone is reading this and we have met during my exchange year, thank you for letting me have the most wonderful year in such a different part of the world.

A day in Prag with Nut and Graph, both from Thailand. We headed off to Prag early in the morning. Prag is not far from Dresden and so it would be dumb if i didnt manage to go.

there were around 500 photos i took today because everything was all too pretty. I do not have the energy to upload everything but maybe when i do throwbacks, then you will get to see it on my instagram feed.
100 Happy Days Project: #81
New student in my class today! The more the merrier. :) today was another great day as I was happy to see everyone again after the weekends. Time in school is precious now. Time doesn't stop for me, or for anyone. It goes on and on, and it is up to me to make it worth memories. Art class, a class I love. I don't like art but it's the only class where I actually feel that time flies within minutes because of me always trying to figure out how to create a perfect masterpiece. Jk. 😂 I am not an art person but throughout boredom in the first half of the school year, my art skills improved :D

Went to the döner man after schoo to get myself a döner box. I am really determined to lose weight before I can't fit my pants but food here is great, won't stop eating.
100 Happy Days Project: #80
I finally finished my German exam! The exam was split into two parts. Oral examination and theoretically. I think I sis pretty well in the theory part but got my tounge all tangled and twisted in the oral part. I pray that I get good results from the exam. 😁☺️ Straight after the exam, I went to Langenwolmsdorf for Christmas shopping.

100 Happy Days Project: #79
2/11/2014 Time flies. I only have less than 80 days before I go back to malaysia and continue my studies.
Today I went to Hohnstein, a cliff in the Sächsiche Schweiz Naturpark for a hike. Germans love walking/ hiking in general. I stay so close to Penang Hill but I don't hike up that often either. Never mind, hiking compensates for the amount of potatoes I eat here.
The wind was literally making my head feel as if it would explode into a million pieces.
School is tomorrow, can't wait to meet all my friends again. :) also, counting down to my German exam on Saturday 😩
Whenever you feel like giving up. Always remember the reason that made you hold on for so long. She's the girl that laughs at anything and everything. She loves life, so life loves her back. She has wonderful friends who share wonderful moments with her. She has a man to show her that not all guys are the same.
