    Hello
Photobucket The girl whose fingers type swiftly on the keyboard and thoughts running through her head, is Nicole. Some call her The Underweight Penangite. She jots down memories and people who she has spent her precious time with. People who watch her grow, people who laugh with her, people who love her just the way she is.

    Touring the city

On the first weekend, mx host mum and sister took me to the city of Dresden. Dresden is beautiful as it not only has old traditional buildings but also modern and efficient public transportation all around together with exclusive and big shopping malls such as the Altmarkt Galerie.

Our first place to go to was the Zwinger.

From the top of the Zwinger you are able to see the Dresden Castle.

The Semperoper is the opera house of the Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden (Saxon State Opera) and the concert hall of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden (Saxon State Orchestra). It

is also home to the Semperoper ballet.

And more pictures around the city:

His beautiful music enhanced the beauty of the whole city. TT.TT
Dresden is somewhere where everyone who loves history should visit.

    Wilkommen!

Hello! If you are reading this, thank you for spending some time here at my blog. I have decided to start this blog to share  my wonderful year in Germany so more people can see Germany even from miles away. Feel free to visit this site anytime you want!

My journey to Germany started on the 21st of February. Being under the AFS program, I travelled to Germany along with 11 other amazing people from my country.
View from our meeting point of Frankfurt Airport:

On the day of the arrival, we got our luggages and met up with many other AFS-ers from other parts of the world who also decided that Germany was  where they wanted to be for the year 2014. There were people from Colombia, Brazil, Japan, Thailand and more. We spent time at the airport playing different traditional games of different countries, mainly the Colombian games. Most of them speak Spanish so I am making a mental note to learn Spanish after I master German.

We were soon segregated into groups, where we would then board on different trains to meet our host family. Everyone was feeling super nervous and excited to meet with their family, I was not excluded.

Picture of us before being separated into groups:

AFS Malaysia, see some of you at the airport next year!

    Signing off,
    Nicole.
