100 Happy Days Project: #37
This post will be filled with also my reflection on my first half of my exchange and how I feel now as the second half goes slowly by:
After spending a windy morning at the beach, it started to rain. So we went over to our grandparent's part of the holiday home as they had a terrace where we could sit outdoors and had tea. Latte macchiato and chocolates from grandma. This is the reason exchange students gain weight. You eat everything like you have eaten them back at your home country before. Your habits change.
I don't snack but now whenever I see snacks I normally finish them. Thus, weight gain.
Had to get ready for diner with the family at some restaurant;
It was really tasty and costed around 12,60 euro.
Reflections;
I am already in the second
half of my stay here. I can't say it has always been full of ups. I have had a few moments who had me feeling like going home and ending my exchange but thanks to my AFS family and parents and my bf back home who kept encouraging me to keep hanging on, I have learned to keep swimming even if the waves hit you rough and hard.
Slowly, I have learned to love my family more and found comfort being myself with people I am with. My crazy but loving sisters, my mum and my grandparents. A year ago I would not have seen myself with these people having so much fun. I also have really lovely schoolmates who made me comfortable being in school and to those who include me in the things they do I am grateful too.
Kaylyn, if u are reading this, thanks for understanding my ramblings at times and being there for me. I don't know what I would do without you sometimes.
To my crazy AFS Germany potatoes reading: you guys are the bomb dot com
Other AFS family: can't wait to see all of u in POC back in malaysia ☺️☺️
